The Project
The Barbados Water Authority procured material to replace approximately 35 miles of 6” - 16” PVC and HDPE pipe and appurtenances.

Supply Challenge
The BWA faced the challenge of procuring approximately $5.5 mil. (USD) of waterworks materials in a time sensitive 120 days.

AVEM Water Solution
AVEM was awarded the tender after meeting strenuous financial and technical requirements. AVEM’s administrative and support team implemented a documentation, shipping and payment process to meet the demands of the procurement. AVEM provided the training and expertise during and after the shipment of material to ensure the BWA was knowledgeable of all materials purchased. 220 TEU’s of products was supplied within the 120 day project timeline.

The Project
The Barbados Water Authority replaces approximately 80,000 residential water meters.

Supply Challenge
Water Management Caribbean was contracted to perform the work with meters supplied by Diehl Metering and needed to procure the companion fittings and supplies to install the new meters.

The Project
The Spring Garden Desalination Plant in St. Michael, Barbados, is a key reverse osmosis facility, often recognized as the largest brackish water desalination plant in the Caribbean. It produces roughly 30,000 cubic meters of potable water daily, supplying about 20% of the island's population, playing a critical role during droughts

Aging iron pipes needed to be upgraded to HDPE pipes.
